Well the weekends have been cold and i've had relatively no time to work on the car, but i had a chance last week whilst the other half was on a course
So here's how it began - the car's been off the road on axle stands whilst i've undersealed the rear of the car and started the re-conditioning of the callipers. The mud flaps came off and i measured up the nuts and bolts needed, went down my local Stainless suppliers and got me some new fasteners
And after some cleaning with TFR and APC on the mud flaps, they came out like new
Gave the 'ironwork' a good clean too and re-assembled
They now fit perfectly and square
Next job is to install the new door cards - yes i know, some people were fans of my carbon door cards but they were causing the interior of the car to be really loud and i wanted door pockets damn it! Now, some of you will know i've got the window switches in the centre console, and as they're supposed to be in the door cards...yes... more wiring
All done in about 20 minutes with my trusty soldering iron and heat shrink
It took a while longer to pull the wiring back through the cabin as it was cable tied to everything lol. oh yeh....and nearly completed my callipers
The car also since being up in scotland hasn't had the interior properly cleaned, so decided to get the apc and other cleaning products out, give it the once over and properly clean the mats with a carpet cleaner - they water was almost black when i'd finished!!
I wasn't sure about doing the seats, so gave them a damp cloth clean and a brush. I'm happy with the way its turned out, but i've decided i now need a new/custom gear shift gaiter as mine's too short after modifying and it keeps coming out the recess
