Cheers all :) Its slow progress! though i have some more relatively large updates coming :) I've sorted out the engine bay a bit more, especially the engine breather. Also, got a bid war on with a titanium strut brace from the states :D

Been playing with the AVC-R and taken it off the god awful 'learn' mode, now the boost is a solid 2.2bar at 4000rpm again :) Very happy with it. But my GOD its SAVAGE!!!!

I've realised this update is out of sync with the rest of them, but hey, you'll get the grip of it :D

Had the car in with Russ @ Performance HQ for a few weeks to fit, map autronics and give the car a health check :D Well i got a nice phone call during the first week about the results

Pretty damn pleased with that! A problem did arise with my idle, apparently he wasn't getting the results he wanted from the idle motor, on asking it to open, it closed and visa-versa. It would idle stupidly high, so not knowing what could be the problem i got a phone call about how to approach it, i explained about the whole re-wire of the motor as the original was a 6's throttle body and wiring, so it looked like i may have got the rows mixed up - turns out i did! We all make mistakes but Russ cured it :) The car idles great now :D But the 180 miles drive home was fun ;) Though i now know not to give the car full beans off roundabouts in the wet  brown pants moment!! But the anti-lag is fun :naughty:

Only just finished tucking the ECU away and neatening up all the wiring and re-installing my stereo into the proper mounts :D Hopefully i'll get the AVC-R underneath it at some point :)

..............................

The fuel pumps relays and fuses still haven't been covered, so managed to get a cover, cut a little notch out of it and put some trim on to finish it off :)

Got the stereo mounted correctly on original brackets and tucked the wiring back, it gave my chance to install the AVC-R just under it securely :)

And a night shot :) It is a little dark, hadn't got the tripod to do long exposure shots

Back again! I decided to finally fit my breather hoses correctly rather than use bits of hose and duck tape. Another phone call to auto torque and i got some more black -10 fittings and black braided hose and got cutting! Here's the results :)

I also replaced the gearstick base bushes with solid ones from Evolution solutions, now my entire shift system has solid bushes on it :) Its SO precise now :) Bit of extra noise but don't really care, i love the mechanical sound. Here's vids of before and after, you can see how much movement there is!!

After a few last blasts, i decided to bring her into the garage to carry on with the undersealing, but first i wanted to sort out the callipers as they were looking tatty. Now, i know the state of my wheel arches, infact i am ashamed they are this crap. The road leading to our house is sand and kinda gets everywhere :( to top it off the car has been used quite hard all its life, so along with the re-furb of the callipers, i set onto the arches too :)

First the original state :(

Then after a little bit of work :) I'm still working on colouring the letters black, need a steady hand!

Also painted my centre console to match the rest of the interior :) I do love the finish on it, but to make sure its perfect i think i'll get it wrapped in black vinyl.

So that's me for Saturday :) Tomorrow i'll hopefully finish the rear arches off and both callipers :D

The girlfriend's just bought me an HKS 35th Anniversary EVC-6 :D probably THE best boost controller on the market at the moment :D Hopefully the car will now boost to 2.2 then hold 2.1 :) AVC-R is struggling to hold it high in the top revs :(

At the moment Lou has shown me the box and said "i think i may just fit it to my car!", i point out now she owns a 1.2 Ford Fiesta.... i know, i know, i tried to explain, but hey :) Women for ya!

Once the AVC-R is out i can get on with the custom mount :D

can you not use your ecu to controll boost, my vipec will hold boost at 2:1 bar flat right through the rev range :)

i use avcr to monitor it :)

Could do, but i prefer to be able to play with boost settings :) ie low boost in first gear, as it just spins up all 4 if its slightly damp :( Plus i like gadgets ;) lol!!
