That's mad lol
He has clearly been in there and done it before and use of a ramp also ? :)

He has done engines before but not an Evo , no ramp , but the engine is sat on the floor ready to be lifted out which he needs my help with.so it's 'out' lol

But yeah still bloody quick

And no use of a grinder mate lol

No wonder it only took 3.5hrs, he dropped the whole lot out lol

Good luck getting the gearbox off now, or did he member to disengage the clutch bearing before hand ? :)

Yeah that's what I meant and no he didn't do the clutch we had to get it off after,

All off now though

3.5 hours still isn't bad lol

I need the 5 speed box in mine anyway ;)

3.5 hrs is probably quite good.
But then all he did was remove pipework and wiring and drop the whole lot out. If he'd taken shafts out then transfer off then took the engine out and left the box in then would of taken alot longer :)

Quick update ive been busy with work so havent got much done but I have decided to keep the V myself as Joe cannot afford it due to other commitments so im going to re list the 8 for sale.
The engine bay in the V is stripped and ready for prep...will be resprayed before the engine is put back in.
I will post some pics tomorrow

I'm sure many said to keep the v and sell the 8 ;) wise choice mate, both good cars.. Would make good money on the 8 as its in cracking condition!

Glad you made that decision, it'll be a great V when you've finished with it. Looking forward to seeing this unfold

It wasn't an easy decision :( but the V should be very nice when finished, the Engine bay is just being prepped for paint , also gna have the car professionally undersealed ;)
Then the engine is being cleaned right up and put back in

No I'm keeping the stroker that was the whole reason I'm selling the VIII - less messing around.

But the V will have an overhaul to get it where I want it which is why we haven't just thrown the engine back in
