Picked the V up monday so me and a friend Joe got to work on it looking at what would need to be done...

First job was to remove some of the horrendous stickers all over the car :wtf:
Some people have strange taste....I believe an evo needs very little in the way of stickers etc to make a statement lol just my opinion
So when we got it, it looked something like this:

So then we removed all stickers apart from anything original and left the ralliart ones on the sides of the front bumper

Some pictures after sticker removal:

Also we loved these HID fog lights......NOT

So out they came

Engine bay when we got it...bit messy but we will sort that

Joe fitted a new crank seal while I done the body work

A couple of pictures at the end of the day

A new cambelt kit is coming tomorrow...so that will be fitted...

Then the next thing is to get it running which it should...

Then its booked into an mot for thursday

Plans after that are to spray front and rear bumpers and completely underseal the car....

Will take pics to post progress....

The GT35 is huge haha cant wait for 500 + bhp

Cheers guys,
We got the rebuild finished today including cambelt and all the odds and ends....

Turned it over to start it and its only getting fuel to cylinder 1 and flooding it...

The other plugs are dry...

We didnt have an ideal battery on it today so will fit a new battery tomorrow and see how it goes...we think it might be that....
After that we will check injectors and then if not then it might be the ecu, its running an apexi ecu.

Some pictures from today:

Cambelt/Balance shaft belt on and all timed up

Oil In

And engine bay complete:

We are just getting the car running and MOT'd etc at the moment, then after a trip to pod we are taking the engine out of the V and putting it in the VIII. When we do that we are replacing all hoses and sorting all of the odds and ends out as we are not happy with the quality of the work done previously....we like things to be done right :)

First trip to pod will be fast show mate ;)

We got the V running and MOT'd today. Went through with a couple of minor advisories.

It was failing to start because there was no oil in the lifters so we sorted that and she fired straight up.

It sounds a bit tappy when cold I think it needs a good run with the new oil and we will see how she goes.

Yeah should be nice mate, never experienced 500 ponies before ;)

After we got it running and MOT'd we cleaned the V up and took some pictures with my VIII too :awesome:

The next couple of bits are:

Get the boost controller working....not on for some reason

Install an O ring on a water pipe as it has a slight leak

And then get it remapped and enjoy.....not a bad buy for £6000

Looks alright that !! :)

Cheers lee, won't be happy with it until I've taken the engine out, sprayed bay and new hoses etc, bit messy for me lol

Getting there though. Your V is running around 500bhp isn't it?

Is your stroker a tiny bit lumpy on idle?

Looks lovely.. love them in white.... going to be fun.

My V Stroker runs lumpy (with K272 Cams).

Got a RS Diff kit if you still need one :sneaky:

Im running 2.0 with a gt3076 kit different ecu etc but no lumpyness at all just nice and smooth... That is until the boost comes in and pins you back in the seat :)

Keep this updated with pics along the way cos helps if you sell the car and keeps people entertained on here :)
