strange that El (I assume the fork/bearing are connected and operating ok?)

Yes buddy, they're fine but Raufy did say that the bearing was covered in gunk!

All in all, a little strange to say the least but it does happen from time to time.

The clutch kit was stock, I think the extra horses coupled with the run he had at Santa pod must have maxed out the pressure plate.

The clutch plate itself was wasted too, as for the flywheel, that was heavily scorched and the guy we use for skimming said he would need it left with him to skim in stages!

He still has the fly wheel and will return it tomorrow before lunch time.

how did the original fail El?

....you know me, I like to know the ins and outs as that sounds a strange one.

Yes buddy, I know you well enough by now............

Raufy has been working on the car as I have been running around for the last two days on some covert manoeuvres:ninja: A new thread will be up tomorrow or the day after to explain what I have been up to, I think it will interest you:D

I guess it was just past it's sell by date personally as I have sat in the car with Steve before and noticed that he makes smooth gear changes regardless of how much he pushes the car.

The bottom line is that the car is running a minimum of around 320 BHP and the clutch kit was stock so it was on borrowed time really.

Quite right, I will be coming for it on Tuesday morning!!!

A bit of a shame that the Recovery Company managed to make a right balls up of a simple task even though they were instructed that if it looks like it will not go onto the bed, then leave it well alone.

What riled me up is that I had to find out from you rather then from them

I will update when I have the car dropped off to the Body Shop.

What the hell!!!!!

They sure made a balls up of that

Is that a filler base where the bumper bolts to the wing on the drivers side???

All in all, I am rather dismayed that the Recovery Company failed to notify me of what looks to be a fair bit of damage.

How could that have gone un-noticed by the operative

I know that the car was fine, every one commented on how good it looked when you brought it round.

Don't worry kiddo, I am on your side in all of this.

The Recovery Company has told me to take it to their Body Shop and tell the fitter/sprayer what needs to be done and then they will call me when it is done which will probably be a couple of days or so.

I have used that particular Body Shop a couple of times before and they are quite good at what they do.
