Help on a re map please

you have a switch on your clutch peddle, you can set the parameters in the ecu so when the clutch is pushed it will drop the rpm to a set amount so that you can keep your foot planted on the throttle during gearchanges.

now thats a nice idea is this speed destiny any good??? you used to hear quite a bit about it but nothing latley

ah, thats another one I forgot you can do with ecuflash :blush:


SD (speed density) is just the ability to run map based and get rid of the maf sensor.

straight forward on evo 9's, earlier evos need sensors off the 9 inlet (inlet temp and map)

so wots the benifits of removing the maf?? is it worth doing and any gains ?

in most cases no its not really worth doing, it provides less airflow restriction for big power (but as we know people are running 600+ with the maf)

one added benefit is a lot smoother on lift off/gear changes (as evos can suffer from a little judder in this area)

Yeah thanks alot to all,I love this forum has always been a great help! So to recap I really need a panel filter,fuel pump befor I go for a map to make it worth it? No one answers if I need my dv to be recitculating for mild anti lag? I think when I get a map I will have mild anti lag and the engine safety feature,and possibly launch control in the future when a new clutch is needed.if any one can give me a price for this it would be a great help

you will still need something for the boost control


and no the dump valve doesn't have to be recirculating for mild als

Seriously though New RalliArt, please try to refrain from using that type of language here as it means that threads will need to be tidied up afterwards which is a laborious task to say the least.

i dont mind traveling a bit its just around here well the places iv been hav been like "well i ant done 1 of them b4 but ill giv it a go".... with sum 12 year old in the corner swinging a spanner!!!! errrr no thanks i wouldt let u touch me push bike mate lol

so if hes up for the challenge or knows sum1 around here thats as clued up as he is then by all means giv it a crack lol
