New Goodies fitted.

Pictures as promised.
First of the Tial BOV on the hardpipe next to the old BOV.

Vacuum hose take off for the Boost Controller.

and fitted. External.

and Internal.

Intake. 3" intake aluminium pipe with OEM MAF and 6" Blitz SUS intake.

HardPipe compared to the OEM top pipe. (The OEM Rubber pipe was very worn and spongy - I could flatten it in my hands)

Fitted with all black Vacuum Hose. No more Blue hoses :^^:

All Fitted with the Evolution Solutions Battery Relocation Kit. from Neverneverman.
Which is a really good kit and a decent price

a few things to note with this kit:

• I had to purchase a longer Earth wire from Halfords. £5.99 i think was only £4 odd with trade card.
• and MAF must be turned upside downso the cable can reach.

In the future i'll be powdercoating the Rocker cover and radiator hanger brackets
apart from that pretty happy with how the bay looks now.

Performance wise the car seems better although this may just be a placebo.
I haven't drove the car for a couple of days.

No stalling problems related to the Tial BOV so the spring fitted must be sufficient for the Vacuum being produced.

Sounds wise the Tail BOV is Epic compared to the old dump valve.
nice "chatter" sound on half boost and a strong sound on full boost. :twisted:

It's no longer for sale mate. I fancied an Evo 10 but this will be awesome once its mapped. :^^:
Few little things i'd like to change then i'll be well happy with it.
Much Nicer to drive than the JRSC EP3, can be driven in all weathers aswell. the Civic was hideous to drive on anything other than bone dry roads.:hm:

Update:
Received my Ralliart Plaque. At some part in the cars life this had gone missing
This should be in front of the gear selector in all Ralliart UK cars.
So I had to get one made up.
These are die cut and hand made. So not cheap to buy, but they are excellent quality

Also my lower hard pipes arrived for the intercooler.
1 was half decent condition and the other needed cleaned up.

Removed all the crap from it then gave it a going over with wire wool, then finally a quick buff with metal polish.
These will never be see on the car but at least I know they're tidy

Comparison in unpolished vs polished.

Also painted the forge intercooler.
Silver with a black Mitsubishi logo. (Not sure on this :/)
This originally was for a glanza but has the correct measurements. (Same as the Forge Evo 456 one)
Just needs a bracket made up for the top support as this is the only difference between the two products
Can't complain at the price I got this for.
When I get the OEM off I'll take a size comparison picture.

Also my Ross Sport ABS Speed sensor has turned up. ABS light has been intermittent since I bought the car. When I was at EvoTune Jamie said there was a fault with rear right speed sensor.

I'm guessing this will right itself once I fit the new sensor or do I have to unplug a fuse to reset the fault?

Car looking in a sorry state without any shoes on out in the cold.

But did give me a chance to get started with some other things to do.
Went to halfords and got some parts on the Trade card, Still probably more expensive than anywhere else! :blah:

2 Cans of Hammerite Waxoyl underseal - for the wheel arches.
Copper grease
"Shock and Unlock" Spray - recommended on other forums for separating troublesome brake lines. (not checked to see how mine are yet)
Flared nut spanner 13x14 and 10x12
Brake Cleaner

All in time for new brakes.

Got these from the Aztec Performance eBay store, bargain price and super fast postage. Well recommended. :smthumbup
also got the ATE Super Blue Racing fluid from eBay, 2 litres is too much I know but will be useful to have some spare.

I know these are OEM size but they seemed massive to me after working on smaller cars.
The Alcon and AP racing big brake kits must be monstrous :mhihi:

Just waiting on the Goodridge braided lines to arrive then i can get started on the brakes.

While I'm waiting for brakelines to arrive I wire brushed and undersealed the rear arches.

Yeah I was going to sell it and get an Evo X but decided to keep it

Gave the Evo 8 Enkei wheels a clean up before sticking them on the car.
Car is still on axle stands as I don't have the correct wheel nuts until tomorrow morning.
Before.

After:
Cleaned with wonderwheels, Rinsed, treated with SmartWax's RimWax.
Tyres dressed with Meguiars High Gloss Endurance Tyre Gel.

Goodridge braided brake lines arrived.

All fitting seam to be really good quality,

Finally fitted the Ralliart Build number plaque.

I was a bit gutted this wasn't on the car when I got it. As they come standard on all the genuine Ralliart UK cars.

This is quite hard to photograph as its so glossy. It's fantastic quality.

ah is it? i thought it might have been common for them to be marked in that place as the 90 degree silicone pipes wear and the BOV can move?

I would be looking for a Matte or Satin finish, Not gloss. Thats why I'm looking at wrapping
