the general thought on the standard 4 engine is not to run more than 1.2/1.3 bar of boost (not to say that it cant run more)
the weakest link in the 4 engine when coming to tuning is the ringlands on the pistons followed by the rods.
if you decide to up the boost you must remember that it is a risk you are taking and should get the fuelling and det checked to be safe as poss. (the standard ecu will/should cope fine regarding the extra fuel needed by the engine.)
