I've only just got them!! lol Will get some more stuff up when i've sanded the lettering on the rocker cover The car only needs the paint sorted on the bumper and the ECU and she's 99.9% complete for the year I've already started drafting next year's mods

yea, like he is in any position to comment about whats chavy lol
he'll be along in a mo to give us the crap about how they were his first mod and how the only cost £5 on ebay. oh and that a couple people have admired them :wtf: these chavs tend to stick together about these things lol :razz::whistling:

that was my first ever mod and only cost me a fiver :whistling::whistling::whistling: they WERE going to be removed this weekend but not now

I think the only thing my GT has that yours hasn't is the missing boot trim!
I assume the Lancer Evolution GT badge on the back is the original and how it should look. Mine has been removed and replaced with the UK spec Evolution IX on the back. Can't decide if to put it back to how it should be or not?
That wiring was a shocker, glad you had the skills to sort it.
Noob question - Shifter bushes, they to do with gearbox right? If so what difference do they make, smoother changes etc

Mine does have the boot trim in it
It now has the little bit at the bottom now too
The GT badge on the rear is the only one i've seen, therefore i'm assuming (though i do hate assumption) its an aftermarket thing and hence will be removed in due time
The wiring will go through a full transformation over the winter when the engine is removed
Going for full minimal look! The bushes don't make for a smoother change, the rubber does that, these make for a positive gear change
My Autronics ECU arrived today too
SM4 pnp Can't wait to get it on the car and full mapped!! Not after pub figures, after full driveability and off boost characteristics. Though, she's going to stay a beast whatever happens Steve220

Hi all! Well i've had a bit of a stand down from the evo for a while to concentrate more on work But now i've had a bit more free time, i've managed to get a few more bits done
One thing that always bugged me since i owned the car was the noise of that bloody 044 pump in the engine bay, it sounds like a ****ed off wasp so have decided to move it into the boot as well as the battery. A fair bit of wiring to sort out, but i've finally sorted it
First off was to de-pressurise all the fuel system and pull it all away. I bought an Aeromotive FPR as well as a load of -6 fittings and aeroquip hose. Running the hose under the car was pretty straight forward as i cut out the metal feed hose, knocked out the plastic seats and ran the aeroquip hose in the gap
After it was all connected up and the wiring completed, i started the car up - no leaks but i couldn't get the fuel pressure below 3.5 bar Having researched my options, i decided to take it out on the venturi thingy in the fuel tank as it has a TINY hole in it to create the effect. Having a look at it, there isn't really much to it and i bit the bullet and drilled the hole out from 2mm to 2.5mm. I then decided to get the buckets and the hose to test to see if it still works
Well, the good news is it does! And at a low pressure too! So put it back in the car and got a 2.5 bar minimum on the fuel pressure regulator So i can get my 3 bar base fuel pressure and its now ready for mapping! Decided to pull the car out the garage as it was covered in dust and oily hand prints and give it a blast with the pressure washer
Next step is the battery tray to be ordered from Evo Solutions
Though i know there seems to be an ongoing battle as to whether or not you need a fuse/circuit breaker in the boot for the battery or not, but i always stay on the side of caution and have invested too much time and money into this car to see it end for a failure in the cable's sheath etc. Just not worth it. So my mega fuse holder arrived today 200amp should sort it
I also fitted the switchable earth for the anti-lag on the Autronics Just need the battery tray and a PS pump to finish her

I should have actually put this in before my last post, but forgot with the excitement
My stereo turned up Cheer's Mark for it, i haven't got the proper mounts or the wiring adapter, but i fitted it to see how it looked anyway I'm happy
So onto the boot, to FINALLY finish it off. I extended the cable from the relay to the 044 so i could lay it under the tray, then shortened all the earths as much as possible. Then onto putting a bit of strength into the boot so i can actually USE it! So i started off measuring the depth of the boot well
Then got my old MOD issued roll mat and decided to cut it up
After some trimming and some simple joinery i got this
Its taken a while to get the things to actually straighten up, but after applying some heat, they finally made it Then put the wood back in to see if it can take the strength
Then shoved the grotty mat back in (could i get away with sticking it in the washing machine?!)
Stereo bits did finally arrive from Camskill and its in properly, its so nice to have music on long journeys!
