I had a read through before hand then went at it and found it way easier than it reads if that makes sense.

Only hard bit was a couple of tests to make sure I'd trimmed enough of the mounting cage away at the bottom

Some updates today

Picked up the wheels after having them refurbed in anthracite, really pleased with them :awesome:

With the AD08's in view.

Got some red nuts off the Bay. Cars been sat outside for a week so rusty disks :razz:

Then went on to do the "skateboard bearing mod" got it from over the road. Involves removing the bushes from the gear linkages and replacing with skateboard wheel bearings. Made the gear shift very very solid and precise

Also got this to go on but wanted to clean the bay a bit before putting it on and getting pics. Plus that bearing mod took ages! It's a fiddly one.

Some updates today

New spark plug cover fitted, old one was ok but had some bad cracks starting

New IX cover installed :wub:

Also gave the car a good clean and got some pics with the new wheels fitted

Off up to Si next weekend to find a funny rumbling noise when cornering next weekend!

what do you think about the linkage bearing mode..??

I done mine a while ago and im pleased..

having a short shift kit on mine made the gear changes notchy but in a good way..

and having the bearings fitted also its even better.

I've got a heavy Skunk 2 gear knob so the shifts are nice, but I know what you mean.

The mod really tightened it up! Really like it too. Got some raisers coming too from neverneverman off the other forum gonna raise it 50mm

Ha yeah cant see them being a "bad" mod.

I am have to relocate the avcr though. Supposedly you can get them in there and keep all the centre consoles in place. We shall see lol.

Yea cant do anything really till thursday when she goes back in. but I've just brought her a new sticker number plate, I'm hoping to buy her a front spitter tomorrow after ive been to work
Also brought her some more smellies, auto smart air freshner - bubble gum scent I know little things and all that lol, but no point her looking nice and not smelling nice, it's like getting dolled up for a night on the town without perfume :shock: wouldn't happen lol !!

That splitter will "evil" yours up. It already looks like a TA car will do more so when your finished!
