OK, not too great, but......

Having only just bought my car from Leeds I finally get it home to Aberdeen. Anyway, get into the office and some of the guys were asking how it was etc etc. Lunch time comes around so I take one of them out for a quick blast at the nearby dual carriage way, now, I like to accelerate hard, but not really one for pushing the speed limit too much. Well I get off this roundabout and see this 3 series BMW (oldish shape, N' Reg maybe) lexus lights, nice shiney backbox etc, cruising past at about 70mph, low and behold, he has his other half in the car with him and fancies trying his luck at showing me up. Next thing I hear this BMW screaming away pulling up next to me and starting to undertake, so I think well sod it, lets see how the Evo compares, into 4th, get onto boost and shoot past him, slow down, he tries again :hm: this goes on for a half mile, eventually (due to his driving style) I think better of it and ALLOW him to go past hahaha I was happy with my new purchase that day.

Another, short and sweet this time, with a sad (for me) ending.
Driving from Aberdeen back down to Costa Del Englandshire I get onto the main dual carriage way taking you from Aberdeen to Dundee. I get into the overtaking lane as I am moving a little faster than other cars coming off a roundabout when I spot some Mercedes something or other (quite a new one),there are about 3 guys in it, suits etc etc I have a glance over to look at the car (thought it was nice lol) when one of them gives me a bit of a snobby look and proceeds to accelerate while laughing, so I thought, well I can show you lol, accelerate past him with ease. At a guess, 5 miles down the road they come past me, as I am stood on the banking waiting for a recovery truck, bloody cambelt snapped eh lol

since my car has been back on the road ive had afew cars try and beat me off the lights and try to stick on my arse.

as you come out of my business park i work in you come to a set of traffic lights and its two lanes to a single lane straight away so dont have long to filter into a single lane. one day i had a mk5 gti try and beat me from the lights and once i slowed down he decided to catch up and follow me but stick on my bumper. The next day it was another car ( save the best till last)
the day after i had a young lad in a pug 205 gti thinking he could keep up but i left him behind no probs without trying. Yesterday on the way home there was a black honda civic in front of me something like a 1.6 or bog standard 2 ltr, anyways we come round the roundabout to those lights and had to stop, he looked over at y car and i was in the mood that i was gonna blast it anyways as i wanted to get home from a shit day at work. The lights turned green and he starts to pull off, his wing mirror was inline with my front bumper before i blitzed it and hit the rev limter and sending a nice pop before changing gear and slowing down as the police normally sit just down the road with their speed cameras, now the time for the best one. Again from those lights, i pulled away from the car next to me and slowed down for the mini round about and cruised along only to look in my rear view mirror and watching this car speed up behind me and sitting on my bumper............now i bet at this time you guys are thinking a golf, or a rep or something with a bit of power....................nope it was a daewoo matiz the car thought he would try his luck against me but i just cruised home wasnt worth it lol. other than that ive had a race with a sapphire cossie when car was standard, a 911 etc.

And sometimes, to add salt to my own wounds, I look at the car and think that thing could be running a nice 550bhp after spending what I did to source an engine and get it fitted, barstward eh

Was doing a late night run in my Evo4 RS on my way back from delivering some components to Redbull Racing in Milton Keynes, was driving reasonably quickly not really too fast, just giving it some on the way out of the roundabouts etc,

anyway i went past some dumpy looking clio with about 4 young lads in it, so being young idots they tried keeping up anyway they were driving like tools and looked really on the edge so i opened up just a little to put a little bit of distance between us,

a couple miles down the road i get some blues in my rear mirror and some copper starts accusing me of racing with the clio, anyway i explained to him that im in an Evo RS and they were in a 1 liter clio with 4 people driving like a tool and why the hell would i want to race them so he kinda thought about that and i think he saw my point had a little moan about racers then proceded to ask me how fast it could go lol dont think he believed me when i said the top speed is about 125mph before it redlines

so im on my way to see about some work, come off a round about at about 40 in to 4 gear taking it slow letting to car get a good warm up! When a cayman rips up beside me in the fast lane then rips off, so after a sec or two thinking i pull out and floor it bit of lag as i didn't drop a gear. He's pulling away as the rev's get higher he was pulling away less and less and when i started to boost hard i began to catch him. Then there was another car in are lane we slowed a little, the car pull over. We both floor it! I went flying up behind him and waved get out my way. Witch he did and i flew past him sorry 60k car lol anyway at the end of the road waiting at the next round about he pull up didn't look at me went left on to the m3 no smile or thum's up:whistling: i went over the m3 and carried on to sort some work out. I guess he didn't like it and we shocked how fast my car was. Ha ha get in :angel:

i was just leaving town one day cominig out onto a decent stretch of road and this guy from where i live driving a sir civic was sitting on my bumper so i drove on a bit not too much then when he thought he had the better of me he tried to pass me ha i pulled into the hard shoulder to let him come up level with me.

few seconds later i could see a white spec (sir civic) in my mirror

They make too much noise and never go anywhee fast enough i reckon.

Ya do know that if an evo was running 170 BHP it would be far more bullet proof and probably outlast a civic that was run at identical speed over a prolonged period of time right?

Ya gotta think like the civic boys and use their own ammunition against them pal! Any low powered engine can be classed as bullet proof. My mate a has a full skunk2 conversion. Over £6k spent on it and it is still a shed that makes tooooo much noise but goes nowhere fast.

The rest of his civic crew claim it handles like a dream but what they aint realising is that it handles well because it takes corners like a snail. They wonna wake up pal.

true mate i raced an sir civic in a 1.6 saxo vtr i had one time and it wasnt much quicker

the saxos do handle well though i loved mine and sorry i sold it

Iv only had my evo a few weeks but with me being 21 and looking about 12 I get alot of people try it on thinking he could never own an evo it must be a REPLICA well so thought the owner of a 330bhp 350z...

I was on the way to drop off a friend and the get there we go down 3 duel carriage ways down the first one we passed the 350z as je was doing about 40 and I wasent sitting behind him so as we passes him we looked over it was some meet head and his GF he just shuck his head and went for it, I wasent having that so threw it down into 3rd and put the peddle to the floor catching him easily,

We got into the second lane so we where side by side I droped to 2nd so I was I'n boost and waited for three beeps and the came on the third I went for it pulled 4-5 car lengths on him no one I no would I'f believed it I'f I didn't have someone with me

The next day who came into the grill bay why we where waiting for our food 350 owner, he pulled up next to me and I quote said " WTF I's that running I'm 330bhp and you pulled on me"

my reply it's only got an induction kit, exhaust and dump valve you should of seen his face CLASS ...
