Mate Went back to the garage they said it was the auxiliary belt tensioner seemed ok after he cleaned it out made the noise a couple of times test driving the car but kind of stopped. He said the ayxillary belt tensioner was the fault as we put a new belt on there it a bit tight and the tensioner got rust and dirt in there so he cleaned it out greesed it up. Anyways driving home and now when I turn right got a grinding noise as well.
well glad you got to the bottom of the noise and it was an easy fix !!!
back to the garage again to see what the grinding noise is now i suppose :hm:

The problem is I got another noise from the driver side front wheel when u turn right am thinking it might be that they left the cover off from under the wheel arch, but when you take your car to a garage you expect to get it back fixed. In my case a trip to a garage for a simple service and tappets has now costs me two half days off work not paid and additional problems that I did not have to start off with. Oh man evos are nightmares when it comes maintaining them.

AND mate it is a proper mitsi garage. Sponner yes he showed that it was lined up cause he stripped the car to let me check it but now I got the grinding noise from the drivers side which is the wheel he took off the car. Mate am stressed out man just tried fixing one problem and ended up with another two problems both were not there until I got my car to the garage.

it all depends on the garage you use, which often dictates if you have problems or not.

Just take it back again, just put you head under first to make sure nothing is rubbing on the wheel

Are there no other members around your way that could pop by?

I've checked there's nothing rubing on the wheels don't know what to do the garage are saying the first noise that it's making is the auxiliary belt tensioner and now this I don't know mate just seems like I got a problem that I can't fix gonas get the exhaust checked out again, before I went to the garage I didn't have no problems but now I don't know what to do??

people clean out those tensioners, replace the bearings, pack em with grease. It'll come back. I guarantee it. The way to cure it is to buy a new one and a new belt.

Yes I will do that but am not going back to the same garage again I found out they had an aprentice working on my car even thow they didn't charge me the second time round but still in the advert it talks about there top rally skilled mechanics working on the car so that's what I thought would happen plus the second time going there had to wait four hours nearly before I got the car back and I was just hanging around which was annoying but must sat they did sort it.
Now my exhaust or something is vibrating and it's getting worse day by day so I'm thinking have the bolts on the downpipe come undone as it was not doing this when I got it put on the car??
