Just gonna throw in Vredestein Sessantas to the mix, been running them for a while and I find them very good indeed.

Shouldn't that be 235/45/17 which are standard Evo 7/8/9 sizes :)

That would rub the arches too much. Tight enough with 235/40 on a 4.

On a 4. Is it lowered mate ??
Mate of mine had a lowered 4 on Evo 8 mr wheels. We had to fit 215/45/17 and roll the rear arches to stop it rubbing :)

Nah, standard height, hence the slightly lower profile and i hope it should be ok. Unfortunately theyre an unusual size so price is higher. I dont like the look of stretched tyres atall so that would be last resort.

Hm, even so I'd still be dropping the width down to a 225/40 at least mate :)

Hmm, might have to put a pair of the wheels on the back with the crap tyres fitted already to see if they rub before paying out for new ones that wont fit.

i run 215 .40. 17. on my 4 with evo 6 wheels. No rubbing never try another size tho as it hassle 3 lol on knowing that there fine. Plus 40's look slick! No side roll but i guess i bit bumpiner. Its tight to i think your do well to get 235's under there? Let me no if you do tho :)

Yea I'd say 215/40 probably the best way to go :)

At the moment ive got 215/40/17, as you said they never rub. I can put up with some rubbing as long as its not too bad. I will try putting the enkeis on with old 235's tonight and go for a drive and let you know.

235/40/17 seems to be ok. Only been on a roads so far but dont rub hammering around roundabouts. Will give it some abuse in country lanes later and see if that makes it rub.

I've got Yoko Advan Sports on mine :) Nice all round tire, minimum road noise and standard fitment to top spec porches ;) So can't be too bad! I had Toyo proxes on my old evo - They're shit.

When i order my new wheels i'll be getting Advan Neova AD08's :D

I have toyo t1r's on my 205 gti, very good tyres on that, possibly because it is much lighter? Handles very well on them anyway.
