Hi all, just trying to find out whats the difference between the TD05 16G ..18G..20G ?

I'm fairly certain it will be a 16g

I know the MR has a 16g with 10.5t hot side, yours may be the 9.8t but I'm sure someone will know for sure.

The TD series turbos are good robust units that can take some hammer

They are all 16g turbos on an evo 8 regardless of model. Unless it's had a rebuild to accommodate a bigger wheel. You'd only know by a receipt for work or by taking it apart for inspection.

What model differences is it for the 9.8t and 10.5t just had a 9.8t fitted to mine in a rush getting rid and getting another 10.5t hopefully :sneaky:

Or
8MR-9 run a 10.5 but single puck flap

Well I've gone and bought a 16g now, has 50,000 miles on it and the owner said it came of his e8 FQ 300, is it worth putting an upgraded exhaust elbow and actuator and will they make any difference

Well I was thinking that the forge actuator is piston instead of diaphragm and has a stinger spring to hold boost better?? Also is it worth changing the exhaust elbow?

It doesn't matter on the actuator unless your running huge boost the actuator will be fine.
Changing exhaust elbow to increase flow always helps. But you could also try porting the one you have!!
It will increase throttle response but not massive bhp gains. Maybe 5hp

I may try the fitting a evo 9 cold side/cover to the race tech turbo I got as that is in an older cover but its had work done to it..

Pull apart the dead fp single flapper
