time to replace my thrust bearing what way is the best way to do it drop gearbox or lift engine out the way

Drop out the bottom, you have the space to remove box without engine coming out

A lot of update clutches have a odd noise when fitted

If you have a twin plate it'll be that rateling most likely. I've not heard of many thrust bearings not outlasting the clutch on Evos but I guess it's possible.

There are a few videos on YouTube of how to remove them. The cage is a pain sometimes !
