Would be interested as in my opinion anything beyond the mad sensor is irrelevant to what we've talked of.

Surely for the ecu to make adjustments it would need to be after the TB???

The coolant going through the tb is there to stop it from freezing in extreme conditions, that's all, personally I would leave it connected as this country sees a lot of moisture and sub zero temperatures and I don't think there's any benefits from disconnecting it, as for idle it won't be effected at all, connected or disconnected
