Seat Belt Pre-tensioner Bypass

Anyone know which actual value of resistor works to bypass the pre-tensioners and get the dreaded SRS light to go out?

Putting a multimeter on the removed unit gives a reading of 2.4 ohms and I have 0.2 ohmn test leads so in theory 2.2 should be right.

I have had to cut the plug off too because as soon as you disconnect it from the pre-tensioner unit the pins go to short circuit. Just be good to hear from someone who has actually done it, I can just see me mucking about with resistors all day long!!

3 ohms normally, also don't prod multimeters in the pre tensioner as you'll set it off

Does it have to be exactly 3? I have tried 3.3 and that doesent work.

I would have thought so too but it doesent make the light go off.

I reconnected both pre-tensioners and it goes off OK so its not stuck on with the ECU, its just not fooling it.

I leave 1 pre-tensioner still connected (passenger side) and try the resistor on the other side but the light stays on. Must be something daft I am not doing right.

Well & truely stuck now!!
