Lol absolutely lee!!!
Ok siMy engine was rebuilt and is still running the Map the Previous tuner did which laid to bending the Rod 15 miles later:sad:So it does need remapping once i have done at least 850 miles,as you can imagine i am really really scared of putting any boost through the old girl and i have also had different cams(HKS 264) fitted now than was in when mapped, plus the map thats on now has launch with very aggresive pops and bangs,so what the hell am i to do

So your engine builder has let you drive off with a fresh engine and different cams without checking the MAP?
How did you bend a rod? Was it a standard engine? How many miles had the engine done?
I couldn't possibly say wether he has checked the map or not!!!
I was told to run it in for a 1000 with no boost what so ever and which the first 350 miles i can not go over 3000 RPM and the following remainder at 3500 RPM still with no boost what so ever!!
The car was standard and has covered 45,000 miles!!!
The Rod bent after 15 miles from leaving the first garage who mapped it as stage 1
 What boost was it running to bend a Rod? A mate of mine had a 5 that put a rod through the block when it was standard
The earlier Evo's certainly are a lot weaker in the rod department!
Bit of a strange one to be fair mate with my car and the story behind its bent rod!!
Basically when the garage loaded their usual evo 5/6 map on to my 6 it was hitting over 2.1 bar and because it was live road mapping I don't think that helped and was possibly the cause of the bent rod!!
It was backed off to 1.6 bar but I was told due to how free flowing my exhaust system is the torque figure would of been to high and should of only been pulling 1.45 bar!!
The garage were told this but choose to ignore it!!
The rest is history as they say!!
Youve just been unlucky
Oh dear! Boost spikes (Over shoot boost targets) are common when mapping, as long as the det cans are hooked up and its shut off pretty quick it should be fine. You can't start to bend a rod, its either bent or straight. I see you've got Launch control, did you use this before the rod bent?
.15 of a bar wouldn't make much of a difference at between 1.6 bar and 1.45 tbh. Youve just been unlucky
