:arms:OK just had a fully forged engine rebuild and i have had the car back nearly 2 weeks and only do 132miles so that leave's 868miles left:sad:

What i would like to know is how have you done your running in??

I have been told it needs to have the rev's taking up and down constantly which means to me no long periods sat on a motorway:shock:

The way i am going i will be lucky if i have it ran in by christmas 2013:(

tbh Mario people run them in differently you could run it as normal which is a recognised method, plenty of engine companies build engines and then put them straight on the dyno for a hour on full load!! nothing wrong with it.......but imo id run actuator pressure 0,8 bar and run it in normally using boost and various driving style, ie boosting, motorway cruising and overrun conditions

Ok si:) My engine was rebuilt and is still running the Map the Previous tuner did which laid to bending the Rod 15 miles later:sad:So it does need remapping once i have done at least 850 miles,as you can imagine i am really really scared of putting any boost through the old girl and i have also had different cams(HKS 264) fitted now than was in when mapped, plus the map thats on now has launch with very aggresive pops and bangs,so what the hell am i to do:confused:

well up to you mate but come over to me well set it to actuator pressure and i can check the fuel and timing at that boost level

then when you are happy with running it in turn the boost back to where it was originally, running no boost imo is not enough load on the engine to run in

breadders???? no ticking over long periods of times will glaze up the bores, emergency standby generators can suffer alot from this!!!
