hi el is a dawes device the same as a bleed valve if so ill buy a bleed valve for when we goto this and ill mount it in the car

ifectively in car boost!

No a dawes is not the same as a bleed valve.

By it's name, a bleed valve bleeds off (leaks) boost pressure to force the turbo into working harder to produce more boost (a little exagerated but basicly forcing the turbo to create 2bar of boost to maintain 1.4 bar).

A dawes device uses a ball bearing and a spring, when you wind the dawes device in, it puts more load on the spring, and when it hits the preset load it will move the ball bearing off it's seat and that allows the actuator to open as it should and create the set level of boost.

To some, they are the same thing because they look similar, the Dawes Device is better as long as it is made from quality components.

I just have never liked them even though they are the cheapest way to get more gains.

Get one of the ones that Sponners posted a link up of or maybe an RSpec item.

Here is what I had in mind Geof, not sure where you got the Pub Lunch from  :

Well if they are bringing more people with them then that should be OK too!!!

It is £10 per person for refreshments throughout the duration of the day:

I am thinking Juices, Tea, Coffee, Bottled Water and Buscuits/Crisps).

Lunch which will be something that I am organising with a caterer (it will be Tandoori Chicken and Biryani with a side salad In a foil pack tray).

This is open to suggestion too as I am no Dictator!!!

If Members are thinking of bringing kiddies with them then I will need to know as soon as possible so that I can make some arrangements.

I presume Geof will be coming with his Family but I need to know about every one else too.

thanks for that mate does it come with all the fitting pipes etc it didnt say in the add just wondered if u knew anybody or urself that had purchased one sorry to bug u mate:sad:
No it doesn't come with anything else.

You only need a bit of vac hose though, as you can reuse 1 of the pieces from the stock boost control setup.

I have plenty of vacuum pipe available.

As Russ stated, you will not need much, if any at all.
