hi all, i have read so many answers for this question.
but what causes turbo chatter?
but what causes turbo chatter?
It's blade stall on a turbo.
Air flows through it and goes somewhere. So when it has nowhere to go, BOV or dv, then it goes backwards against the flow of the blades ....

I recently when from VTA bov to recirc, then reversed the recirc valve to give a chatter noise. Sounds awesome and you will notice an increase in power too.
You will not get more power from this unless the valve was previously leaking. However you could get better throttle response which might make it feel quicker?
dont mean to steel the thread but i have a hks bov on my e6 but lately ive started to get the stalling issue and it seems the blow off very early.im thinking of removing it do i need to just buy the forge recirc and fit that?will i get the chatter with that aswell?cheers
As far as I'm aware, and I could be wrong, turbo chatter is bad for the turbo.
