5 ecu and injectors should work together fine. That is unless maybe the ecu has been re mapped by previous owner.

standard 5 ecu will be fine as it is running 560 injectors and no other mods and standard boost.

Last yrs with ecu 5 no problem for MOT
This yrs after put the bigger injectors emission problem.
Do i need to remapp or reset the ecu?

Get it somewhere to get the map checked out. That will be the only way to really know whats going on.

for example, if the lambda doesnt work properly , which sensor will i need to buy ? e4 or 5???

my engine was rebuilt 2009. i have been told that it upgraded to evo5. so now i got e5 injectors and e5 ecu.

for me i would think e5 sensor , jst wanna check with you guys 1st

depends on wiring connection... 2 or 4 wire lambda. Replace with what you already have fitted.

i searched some forum. some people said i can use the universal 4 wire sensor (zircania) 18mm spark plug thread. is it right by just cutting n reconnecting the wire ? im so confused ...

mine is the standard e4 one.

so jst black and grey connected, the other 2 white wires just stand alone.

i think what i will do, i will get one off ebay around £20, i will then fix it by myself, during fixing the sensor, i will disconnect the battery so that i can reset the ecu. by the time going to MOT, i will give it a good run.

do you guys think it is good idea ?

Don't take this the wrong way but I'd suggest taking it to someone who knows about Evo's rather than you just changing random parts and guessing what is wrong.

If you've changed the injectors without changing the map then it will, more than likely, be massively overfuelling and causing the problems because of that. However, if you are running an E5 engine then it seems strange that someone would fit the E4 injectors into it to start with. What colour are the tops of the old injectors?
