I had a MOT. Fail in emission. The people said co Level too far high.
It is 7 now, it suppose to be 0.5 pent. Does it mean the cat gone?

Has it actually got a cat on it? It could also be your lambda sensor.

Yup got a cat . Manufacturer one.
They just dun know what wrong.

What happened is, this year i upgraded the fuel injectors 560cc n put the whole bottle of fuel injestor cleaner in just 20 pounds fuel. Just before MOT

Last yrs I put unknown ecu e5. The MOT was fine.

Is there anyway to test?

Plus one person suppose, bcos I put bigger injectors, the amount of fuel put in, make the the engine work harder. Or the excess fuel without burn , may damage my cat ??

I v. Pussy off. He suggest me to put the old injestors back .

Did you take it for a blast before the MOT? You need to get the catalytic converter hot for it to work efficiently.

If its on a 4 it shouldnt even need the cat. Its not eu type approved so should be non cat tested. That means the limits are nowhere near as strict. I think 3.5 percent. Still not enough to get yours through but easier at least.

I think so my English is not that good.
I drove it to MOT center. It should be hot. I dun know wot to do.

I know its tru for the 4. Not sure about the 5. It all depends if its type approved. If not the dvla dont keep any emissions data for them so tested as non cat.

I know quite a few mot testers. Got one of them to check the vosa guidelines and thats what they came back with.

Just question it if it fails, if they look it up then they should pass it. (obviously assuming the emmisions arent stupid high, but if theyre that bad youve got problems)

5 ecu and injectors should work together fine. That is unless maybe the ecu has been re mapped by previous owner.

try it and see. most stations if you tell them first will help you out anyway :sneaky:
