just noticed on the back of my inlet plenum, on the v support bracket the bolts to the bottom of inlet plenum and rear of the block...is a little black solenoid type device(kind of like a boost control solenoid) , with two very small hoses going to it. on the solenoid it has what appears to be a little black twisty handle on it for adjusting it for whatever reason. does anyone know what the part is? and if its even needed as i have snapped one of the plastic inlet/outlet pipes off it.

Sounds like your fuel pressure reg if it has an adjuster on it.

Pic would be handy

As long as all pipes are blocked then you wont have any vac leaks :)

You should just loop a bit of pipe to the 2 ports on that valve. Then just make sure none of the others are left open.
