Basically had the remap done at the beginning of the year while I was waiting to get my licence back. The only difference in the graphs is the addition of a 3 port and a map tweak to allow for the 3 port. Got my licence back in May & as I said in my original post changing gear while on boost causes the revs to rise.:thinking:

So it's not a recent remap!
Has the car been sat all this time?
I would still go with clutch itself or fluid..

Car was sat until I got my licence back in May Rob, remap was done end of Jan. Could only turn her over whilst awaiting my licence, does that make any difference? and should it make any difference? Had a full service, Cambelt change ALL fluids etc done at the same time as the map.

If any machinery is left standing for a while then leaks can occur. Or air gets into a system.
Aprilia RSV rear brake calipers are known to build up air in it if the pressure is not kept on.
The same could be said for any hydraulic system.
Age deteriorates seals.
Items that aren't used can also dry and crack, ie. seals, causing leaks..

So what do you think should be checked first?
She drives fine apart from the rise in revs at gear changes when giving her some beans.

Spot on, between 900-1000 rpm Simon.

I think your throttle is sticking. Used to happen on my 8MR.
Cured by taking the pipe to inlet manifold off and spraying the throttle body with WD40.

My old 8 started doing the exact same thing, revviing between gears and it defo wasn't the clutch slipping. It was suggested to me it could have been this, but I sold the car before I CBA getting to the bottom of it.

i think what the OP is saying is that the revs hang too long between gear changes, not slipping.

Morning all,
What actually happens is as I dip the clutch to change gear the revs raise, making smooth changes awkward unless I take into account the revs rising.
Will try and get a vid up so it can be seen what is happening.

How the hell did you lot learn to drive. Was always led to believe that when you change gear you push the clutch down and lift off throttle, so go on, tell me how that's clutch slip lol

Could be right there lee. 8s are prone to it and i had mine ultrasonically cleaned.

You also get play in the shaft which causes the flap to stick to the sides
