Evening all,
Evo 9 fq360 has been mapped and is just under 420.
Question i have is when it comes on boost & giving it beans as I change gear the revs shoot up, meaning I have to wait for the revs to stabilise before selecting the next gear. Can make smoth gearchanges akward if I dont allow for the revs to rise.
Any ideas what could be causing this or is it normal?
Thanks.

Have got 2 graphs, one with the original boost controller solenoid, the 2nd after the car was mapped with a 3 port. Will post them up if it will help.

Clutch.
As you have now had it mapped and increased boost. The clutch is struggling to keep up with increased pressure.

I would go with clutch too if the revs are increasing, it will be slipping. What clutch you go in it?

If it is the clutch who ever mapped should of known it was slipping at the time! Yes-NO?

Not nesesarily pal, wot runs are done in one gear and if the clutch just can't clamp tight enough it may be fine loaded in one gear but as soon as the clutch is re engaged in another gear the load could be too much. Might just be early signs
