ive a twin kenlowe fan set up on the Airtec rad with an Airtec turbo cooler and Airtec Front mount I/C

one fan on a manual switch the other wired up to a switch via the thermostat as an over-rider

hello mate .... i am also running the same airtec setup as you and am wondering if your car runs hotter than normal. As soon as i take the intercooler off its perfect again. it seems that not enough air is getting through it

Yes it runs hotter than what it used to be, i just put the heating on once it reaches the top half of the gauge.

i had headaches with airtec who refused to beleive me and would do nothing about it...there are a few mentions of this problem with airtec on passionford

No lee, ive caught the bufty bug. I want the chassis painted and parts cleaned etc.
However i'll be going to RS Combe. Scorpion is the best. Wayne i was baffled when the temp when that high, i used to run a forge twin core I/C and had no problems. Seeing as its not my everyday car i dont mind. I did run it with the Airtec for a few months everyday, but as i mentioned wack the heating on once the needle gets to the second half of the gauge.

its something about the airtec. when i take the intercooler off its fine. people have said to take the twin fans out fron the middle and put the rad and i/c together but thats hassle. i do the same as you and put the fan on

its not designed to run next to the rad, it'll run hotter surely?

theres a new one out now the RS500 style one. the early one ran with the I/C in front of the rad mind. Have you fitted a fan over-rider switch? i have 2 switches on my dash for both fans and one of the fan kicks in through the thermostat temp setting i just simply flcik the switch if i want it on myself.

i thought it would raise the air temp so i didnt do it. yes i have a switch on my dash...it works both fans together

Cheers Lee, not sure on fittment too, it the later models bracket, you cant get the S1/early S2 brackets from them. If it dont line up, the drill comes out to play, and have to get old hole welded up.

it can certainly be made to work, one way or another :)

Good good, did you flip your pump around the otherway(outlet to the tank) when you fit yours, the S1 and early S2 has the outlet facing away from the tank
