ok my friends decided to dyno them cars , they all got scoobies , one of them ask me to join them so i took the chance and dyno my car as well , i was the only evo there, about 15 cars ..

22b subaru , 2 wagons , many wrxs and sti import and uk most of them remapped or chipped with front mounts, air modds and fuel , even saw 1 with a apexi controller etc ... i was completly gutted with all the results , the 22b with a strocker 2.1 came out on the best run with 301bhp 360ft ...

my car was the last one on the cue but after alot of guys asking because they were curiouse what my car would push i pass in front and on the first run it show 250 bhp ONLY.. VERY STRANGLY the guy told me my intake pipe was too hot and my intercooler wasnt doing is job properly so after a 10 minutes cool down with the dyno fan on, he done another run that came out as 321bhp 416ft ..

very strange i got a walbro, evo 8 mr fq330 cams , evo 8 rs turbo, electronic boost controller on 1.7 bars pike holding 1.6 , full exaust decated, hks mushroom, intake and turbo hard pipes , turbo elbow , ported and wrapped manifold and the cars is remmaped .. it should be around 365 minimum or even 380 .. but the guy said the indoor temp of the garage was 26 degres too hot he said and my intercooler wasnt very good ???

all the other scoobies didnt hit 300 bhp not even near that ( just the 22b,301bhp ) i cant believe even on crap 321 bhp result the evo had the best run on a scoobie meeting dyno day and nearly double the torque of some uk scoobies ... i wasnt proud i was gutted .. can a intercooler be my problem or that dyno its not calibratted or set properly??can heat just take away 60bhp or cold air add 70 bhp like it happened from the first run to the second .. i had some strange fantom knocking in the past but its been alrite for a wile, my intercooler does not look the best , is it the reason for hot air coming in /power loss and fantom knocking / trieng to pre detonate??

There are too many variables to take into account to be fair, air temp does play a big role as if it's cooler the air is denser and car performs better, bigger intercooler alone adds a few bhp as it can cool the air better. Take it to a rolling road in the winter and see what it chucks out it will peob be more

Sounds like a crappy dyno to me.

That or the ambient air temps were affecting al the cars. The 22b's push over 300bhp as standard, even though the Japanese power limit is like 276bhp for a standard car the 22b's still made much more.

As said too many variables, don't read into the figures, read more into the days result that yours was the most powerful car over a lot well modded cars, the dyno was obviously reading low for everyone.

My other query is the 22b is a 2.2L block so couldn't be a 2.1L stroker unless the engine was replaced for a 2L which would be criminal lol.

the ownwer of the 22b said that his car was rebuild so its got to be another engine , andyea u are right , some scoobies that on the road can keep up whith me came out with about70 bhp lower then me , it dont make any sence , am pretty sure the wagon i seen had morepower then me but not on the results so the dyno was shit

Yep take it that there were to many variables to compare with your previous results. But they would affect all the cars on the day. So if you were down 60bhp then so would the scoobies.
Just be happy you beat them all lmao

There is also summat about how much a car is tied down, if it's heavily strapped and stiff rollers expect lower figures, so with the variables on the car in the workshop and the rollers I would say get yourself along to a rr day when the weather cools down
