Removed my E5 Engine, Gearbox & Transfer Box today and have the engine now split. Had the engine. gearbox & transfer box removed in over 4 hours, just me and my wee girl removed it. This is the quickest way of removing an engine more or less by yourself.
Drain all oils from engine, gearbox and transfer box.
Drain the water from your radiator.
Unclip, undo, remove all pipes, electrics, fuel hoses and gear linkages.
Remove exhaust from the downpipe to the end of the decat.
Remove bolts from the prop shaft and undo hanger bolts and drop the prop shaft out of the transfer box.
Remove north/south bar
Undo track control arms, remove front drive shafts, front drop links.
Take the weight of the engine and box on an engine dolly and lower the lift.
Undo engine and gearbox mounts and car the lift making sure nothing has been still attched.
Engine, gearbox and transfer box now removed.

Thanks mate, my wee got well stuck in and helped with the time so far. Pistons need changed, new shell bearings as can see where they were loaded with excess fuel. Head has had it from what i can see as to badly pitted and was det problems in number 2 cylinder. Will get some photos up of damage on monday. Will need another head which i have so just need porting, gas flowed, skimmed, 3 angle valve seats, new valve guides etc. Block will need rebore going up 0.5mm as number 2 bore is marked. Its getting the time to do work on my own evo lol. Going to let my wee girl loose on my head to do some for me. Getting there mate :)

2 pistons cab be salvaged, 1 is f@*!ed, 1 crowns are gone. Piston rings have had it also so no point. Need new pistons, rebore block, new shell bearings, main & small end bearings, new head, new valves and a lot of time porting the head. Has been a costly experience and my turbo has had it also as tight spot in the shaft and piece of piston wedged on exhaust side compressor wheel. Inlet manifold needs dipped to clean it as full of soot and carbon. Going to anodise my manifold this time and gives me a chance to make a few mods this time when its a new build. Crank is getting changed also as not happy with the marks the shell bearings have left after splitting. Very costly experience but sh@t happens.

To right mate but could do with money going elsewhere at the moment as xmas is not far away and kids need presents. I have new stroker piston set ordered, uprated valves and a new turbo ordered. Will mod this engine this time bit better but i want it back on the road asap and not take up lift space much longer. Gearbox & transfer box are away for an overhaul when have them out. :awesome::awesome:
