liquid gasket? oil sump change.

hi all,im gonna be changing my oil sump pan over soon as mine has a hairline crack in it!:meh:just wondering if anyone can recommend which liquid gasket to use as there"s loads of different ones at different prices etc!or does it not really matter? thanks

I use Wurth 250 degree sealer or RTV Black. Most gasket sealers will do for the sump but do not shops own brands.

thanks for the suggestions guys,i was looking at the loctite 5910 black gasket sealer on the frauds site any good?

Yes very good sealer also and you will only need an 80ml bottle which will be around £6.75-£7.50.

Any black stuff ive seen allways peels off. The grey doesnt brake down atall

Tightened the sump bolts in the main pattern you would do similar as head bolts. Make sure when you do apply the gasket sealer that you go round the outside edge sump pan and slightly towards the middle as when it sets you dont want any hardener sealer on the inside of the sump pan.
