Although I had decided I wanted an E9, a while back I had my eye on an E7 with a forged engine and really fell in love with it, but it sold. Well I have now seen it again, it has been traded in at a garage. But now I'm a bit nervous, is it worth it?

It's a 2001 E7
54,000 miles
E9 bumpers
MR front and rear lights
Carbon spoiler, vortex generator and rear bumper spats
Forged engine
Garret turbo (can't remember which)
Tubular manifold
HKS turbo timer
HKS boost controller
Switchable maps
Anti Lag
Launch control
Tein Coilovers
Rota alloys
Stainless exhaust.

But this is the bit that's worrying me.
There's no service history, but all previous MOTs and MOT till Oct.
No Tax
The boost is turned down so it's only running 360bhp (thought this was a bit wierd.
It's up at £9000.

What are peoples thoughts??? Coz I love the look of it, and love the idea of the already forged engine and uprated turbo.

I would be sceptical if there is no receipts for the build, service history doesn't bother me S long as there is evidence if services, I would be askin the question why have they got rid so soon. Boost being turned down, erm pass on that one could be any number of things.

For 9k you can get better imo but feel free to pop a link up

To be fair looks clean and well modded, worth a look at least, proof is in the driving, receipts would still be good for the build, maybe you can find out who done the work and give them a call

That looks awesome similar to mine but I like that better I think because of the wheels I love it but like the others said no service history is a bit weird when I bought mine I only had some history but this was mainly due to it being an import but everything had been ok touch wood and it turned out I got a really really good deal

Damn! These are all things I didn't want to hear. I absolutely love the look of it, and it seemed so much cheaper than getting a 9. Because I intended to get them wheels, the same coilovers and all the MR bits for the 9 when I got one.

Have joined the MLR and am trying to search the forum, no joy yet.

If it has got rot and/or the drivetrain issues, is this stuff that the RAC would notice if I got them to check it over. Only I'm offshore at the mo.
