We have been checkin the readings on our electric meter for the last couple of weeks as we received a letter from n-power saying they needed them.
We did this and sent the form back and received a call asking us to do a log for a couple of days and email them over to them.
Long and short of it they are saying we owe them on top of what we have paid since march 2012 the sum of £6700 wtf. We are on estimated billing and they read the meter roughly 6 weeks ago and a few months ago. We are paying 20p for the first 130kwh and 14p there after. By my rubbish maths they are saying we owe for 42,000 units of electric on top of what's already been paid over the last year.
There is 3 of us in the house, 2 of us work full time and one part time and she mills around the house throughout the day.
We do use the little electric heaters to heat the house as we have no gas or oil fitted just yet that's coming this summer.
I'm sure the meter is broke because its ridiculous what they are saying, we have used nowhere near that much.
Is there any electric engineers or anyone that works for a power company that can help with this?
