hey am new on here and i am looking for an Evo. Having an upgrade from a 106 Gti.:razz: I know i want a Evo 8 as i like that shape more then any of the other! I am just woundering what is the difference between the Evo GSR and Evo FQ?

Am lookng to Spend around 9k if anyone can help. Preferable Red Or Graphite

as said post up and cars your loking at and we will try and help you decide.

all 7/8/9 models are very simular in shape with only really the bumpers being different

as for gsr & fq. a gsr is an import and a fq is a uk car but dont be put off by an import cos an fq is just a gsr with badges on cos they are all imported anyway.

there are differences between a gsr, rs,rsII, gt and mr models but this is a little more indepth ie different turbos, trim spec, ayc and non ayc models so if you wanna no if a car is what they say it is just ask

Mite sound like a bit strange to ask be seen as am new here i think i should get awat with it!

...Does 8-9k For a 2004/5 Evo sound about right just av seen them range from 7k up ta like 17k is there any particular reason for this?

Does the imported once cost more? Wat common things should i look for?

It depends mate.. A lot of people sell cars cheaply this time of year.. The higher priced ones are usually highly modified.. I'll pm you the link in a sec

Seems ok mate, the 260 is a good way to get into the evo scene, as if I remember correctly they are cheaper to insure, and a good base for tuning.. Can make 400bhp with not that much cash thrown at it

To be honest mat i dnt think al need anything moor then 300bhp round where i live. I work in a Misubishi/Vauxhall/Seat/Peugeot/Ford Parts Department so i get work done cheaper and parts at cost price which will help with something like n Evo.

Do you find there are many common problems with the 260's

Well it is classed as the poor man's Evo but hey, like you stated already Skuff.........It is an entry level model so does exactly what it was intended for.
