Well it is classed as the poor man's Evo but hey, like you stated already Skuff.........It is an entry level model so does exactly what it was intended for.

The thing is though mate, take the 260 badge off, change the spoiler and no one will know at a glance.. +it's only 28bhp less than a gsr, and like I said before, it doesn't take a lot of cash to raise the horse power. Although that red one you linked to has already done all that

260's come with rubbish small rear spoiler a rubbish turbo and fat ass wide seats,

somewhere around 10k should see you with a nice clean evo 8 fq300/gsr

youll generally pay a little more for something with a forged engine or coilovers and nice wheels. good clean low mileage cars tend to fetch good money cos there are alot of polisher type people out there that keep these cars wrapped in cotton wool all winter.

something with a good spec list youll pay alitte more for cos some people have spent some serious money on these cars to get them to where they are so tend to fetch more money cos modifying aint cheap if you get really drawn into it

Good plan but every1 on here would know! i mite just sell me 106 Gti And put the towards the Evo n make a limit of 10-11k!

Am only buying the Evo cus Av just moved in with me girlfriend and her poarent so the money i would pay in rent and bills is goin into an Evo!

Worked out 3 year rent would have cost me 9k so istead of throwing it away on rent i thought i would invest it in n Evo! At least it would be worth something in a few years!

I do like the 7s but the 8s just appeal to me so much more! Wat are they like to run the Evo 7s and 8s? Wat type of MPG do u get from a 300bhp Evo 8?

ask yourself this why does an 8 appeal to you more? is it the big smiley mouth front bumper which most 8 owners hate or is it the bland rear bumper which most convert to a 9 bumper apart from that they are indentical. Fuel consumption can vary hugely to how you drive the car to what type of roads you drive, there are big variations in economy from low 10's upto 30+

Thanks for the help mate! I like the smiley front end but i think i would change the rear bumper to a Evo 9 Rear bumper they look mint! I drive 9 miles to wrk which is 1 straight road wid one roundabout in!
