thats easy, forged is the cheapest by far.
cost is dependant on who does it and what brand of parts are used.

What would you use then Lee to get the best? I here that the forged can be very laggy?but I guess that depends on what turbo you use

some day i hope to build a 2.3 stroker with 264 cams and a really fast spooling turbo for a bit of drag :D

how can forged be laggy when then engine itself is still the same 2.0 but just stronger :) lag comes with using massive turbos. turbos the choice is endless but for cost you cant beat the turbo technics S205
wack the 3" elbow onto it with a nice manifold and some kelford 272 cams and say hello to a fast spooling 500bhp :D

Actually if you used the Kelford 264 you would have even faster spool up and still make 500+ bhp on the s205 ;)

To O.P , the choice is yours, the better choice is only a matter of preference, desired outcome, and intented use.

Both choices are very good and both setups are forged.

If you want to built a drag car, I would stick to the 2.0L displacement and high revving, say 9000 rpm on a big turbo ,gtx35r, fp black and so on.

If you want a track/sprint car then go 2.3L or a 2.4L not 2.2L and a bbk-b, fp red, gtx3076r.

IMO, if you want an everyday use out of it, 2.2/2.3 is where you're best at for a better spool. I'm running a 2.2 stroker on a GT35, its bloody savage when the boost comes in (annoys motorbikes :D ). I ideally want to return the engine bay to give it a MIVEC engine and wire it all in correctly (I actually want to hide all wiring and re-spray the bay).

Didn't think you could use 272 on a mivec???

On another note I would go for a 2.2 stroker

I prefer the stroker engines but not much wrong with a 2lt.

A 2lt with a GT3076 and a BW S200sx on a E8 and twin scroll and the GT3071 is on a E9 and single scroll.
