The engines around 12k and around 5k for turbo kit.

That is the full house engine, reducing the spec would take around 5k off that.

Put a 5 speed in there when you do the work and sell the 6 speed and you would break even on it and have the stronger box.

Is it raj that's running the 3076 ? Why don't I get those figures from mine ?

Last dyno at powerstation was 493bhp running 2:00bar but the graph was dodgy as the car kept wheel spinning

The reason the power stays up is not displacement but turbo and cams

The highest fig is on a BW S200SX, Engine spec has a big part to play in the graph and holding tq.

The gtx35r would be faster than the old 35r on the 2.0L setup due to its construction, and you could improve spool with using the right cams and dialing combo. It goes without saying that you need to have all the rest of the spec sorted out of course.


On the 2.2L though the gtx35r will spool very well although I'm not a big fan of the strokers on the 4g63 as I like the oem rod ratio being the main reason.

Lee - simply put a stroker would mean new crank but staying 2ltr means original crank. I'd personally go for a forged 2.0 ltr long rod with your choice of turbo and cams. Long rod over std if you go forged is negligable on cost ...

spec for turbo's and cams comes down to what you want from the car, what you want it to be used for, cost and everyday living with it. Apart from that a bit of research on results gained from certain parts and advice from the experts on here will do you well

I believe the crank gets changed because the stroker increases the engine displacement and the rods/pistons need moving to accomodate or they'd hit something lol

Power wise I have no idea but know of a few 500-600 bhp cars with a std crank.

The 2ltr long rod gives the power because it can rev higher where as a stroker gets more torque low down because of the bigger engine displacement.

Its best to decide what you want the car for and how you want it to handle/drive. Then get some specs from the experts/builders (Mark S)
