Sorry mark lol
What would you use then Lee to get the best? I here that the forged can be very laggy?but I guess that depends on what turbo you use
To O.P , the choice is yours, the better choice is only a matter of preference, desired outcome, and intented use.
Both choices are very good and both setups are forged.
If you want to built a drag car, I would stick to the 2.0L displacement and high revving, say 9000 rpm on a big turbo ,gtx35r, fp black and so on.
If you want a track/sprint car then go 2.3L or a 2.4L not 2.2L and a bbk-b, fp red, gtx3076r.
Marios
I prefer the stroker engines but not much wrong with a 2lt.

A 2lt with a GT3076 and a BW S200sx on a E8 and twin scroll and the GT3071 is on a E9 and single scroll.

Lag is dependent on turbo.. however. nothing like retaining the ORIGINAL strength of the block. If anything , Darton Sleeve it.. Much more strength!
Evo block is solid steel and so doesn't have sleeves in it![]()
