Well i took B6lee's advice in the beginning and started looking for an Evo9 Intercooler... " Wasn't doubting ya bud just wanted a bit of extra advice thats all :razz:".. Gonna spend a lot of pennie and want the right one.

Seems Lee's advice was more appropriate than i thought... "thank you"

So, now its decision time for the Evo9 FMIC.... Which make delivers the best results???? n where can i get one

When we say IX cooler mate we mean the standard Mitsi item. It's bigger than the ones on early cars.

I have a second hand one for £100

People are enticed by BHP ratings without understanding why they are given.

If the manufacturers or retailers made the effort to educate the consumer than they would not sell a single item unless it was coupled as a kit.

Bigger Intercoolers are a complete waste of time unless you have a bigger turbo, or a turbo with a fast spool up.

The last post offered up by Lee should serve as food for thought.

It is just money wasted in my opinion.

Cooler came from my mates 19,000 mile Evo IX and is pretty much mint

Was hoping you'd send me a pic of a hard Pie!! sorry for the typo..lol Would have been funny though....

Obviously this will need some minor adjustments to fit a 6. I'll have a quick chat with my mate to see if he can re-fab this for me.... Either 6 hard pipes to fit a 9 IC or vice versa 9 hard pipes to fit a 6.
As soon as i hear back i'll be in touch....

Hard pipes for a 4/5/6 will prob do it but I'm unsure about that. 7/8/9 pipes would also prob work if you have battery re-located.
All the bits that the hard pipes are connected to are all in same place on later cars as they are on early cars. Ie turbo, cooler inlet manifold all in same place

I have a cooler designed for Evo 7/8/9 what I'll do is send you a pic of the mod to the bracket on the top. Lower mounts on the cooler are the same for all models.
