You meaning on the car? im plugging my lead into the socket under the steering wheel were you would connect pin 1 and 4 to check for codes.

when i plug my lead into evo the car will rev freely no probs attol but when disconnect it will rev once then bounce at the 2k rpm, any ideas some1?

i cant get the evoscan to work tho, im kinda stuck now. any1 got an idiots guide to using evoscan

are you running a 5 or 6 ecu?
what version of evoscan?
would have been better with a 2.0 cable

That should be a reflash connector. For reading/writing to the ecu. No use to you fella.

when i plug my lead into evo the car will rev freely no probs attol but when disconnect it will rev once then bounce at the 2k rpm, any ideas some1?

As for this issue. Do you mean that it won't rev past 2k when you open throttle or it does this on its own?

ok but the main black connector is ok tho yes?

i hav an issue with my evo with it not revving past 2k rpm, however wen i plug in the leed it will rev no problem, then wen disconnect the lead and start car up again it will rev first time all the way then not past 2k again, so wot is it thats changing wen i plug in the connector?
