Hi All,

Can anyone tell a beginner  how hard it is to do a service and change the AYC fluid yourself??

Also what parts would be required to do a full service because I keep getting conflicting information as to what I will require.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Richard

Evo 7 further details

Hi

Thanks for that. Can you explain what's involved in changing the AYC oil??

I'm a total beginner at this, I have a friend who is mechanically minded but I would still like step by step details for him to follow and for me to understand. If anybody has the time to put this into text I would be very grateful.

Thanks
Richard

U need to make sure it works first. There shud be a step by step here somewhere.

@Lee; hydrolic tensioner ftw? or its unnecessary?

The Ayc bath in the rear diff is easy just drain and refill.
The pump system is a bit more complicated.

Best way to do it is buy the bleed tool that's for sale on here :)

Belt does have a piston type hydraulic tensioner but you can just take it off and put it in a vice an dog it with a small drill bit :)
