the voltage may only change when the car starts to come on boost.
on a standard car i would imagine this starts to come on boost at 2k so this could well be the problem.

also mitsi decided that plug needs 3 wires so therefore 3 wires need to be connected :)

right just spoke to the mechanic next to my work and he said unplugging the map or fuel pressure reg would not make a diff to the car revving so again im now stuck i thought i was getting somewere here,,

im bringing a soldering iron home from work 2nite to sort that wire anyway but i dont hold out much hope for it getting fixed by soldering that wire

were does this go??? its just dangling around, it comes out the loom were the injectors come from at the timing belt side.

also when i came home from work i started the car and revved it slowly about 7 or 8 times over 2k no problem, then it started the 2k thing again so does this sound like a temp problem?

the fuel reg and map sensor both have important jobs to do so yes it will effect your car if they aint doing there job

not sure what that is but i do know it goes under the head of the bolt that is holding the top of the cambelt cover on :)

without looking at it and trying things i cant help you anymore.
the obvious faults like the wire had to be sorted, if that had cured the problem then it would have been a simple fix

id try swaping the maf and map sensor

try calling jamie@evotune he might be of a bit more help :)

right im getting desperate now as i need my car on the road or atleast driveable to get it to the mechanic i use.

heres a video of whats doing on, it revs no problem wen first started, i only took it to 3k as the turbo not warmed up yet. about 2 mins into the video you will see exactly wot the car is doing.

please be aware this is a very boring video lol prob best to skip to around the 2 min mark lol. hope the link works

For starters your car is idling way to high. You need to drop it down.

Secondly i strongly believe, if you cant drive it. Get a mobile mechanic out or get a low loader out to take it to a decent tuning garage for example. No point wasting hours on end trying to find the problem yourself.

well is it like a rev limiter or is the engine just surging ??

no i would recon a rev limiter will bounce quicker.

wot i have noticed tho is that the hotter the engine gets, the lower it will rev to. does this mean anything to any1??

you need to get it to a specialist mate, we are clutching at straws here really as it needs someone with some knolledge to get stuck into it who has spare parts at there disposal to try eliminate the problem :)

what ecu do you have? and has some one enabled valet mode on it? when you turn the ignition on and then push the throttle to the floor before statrting after 4-5 secs does the mil light flash, either that or its a faulty sensor that is forcing a limp home mode, check that trottle cable is rotating the buttryfly all the way round and hasn't rolled off the arm.
is there any chance you can get a log of the ecu?
where are you based?
