So are you saying that if my mechanic said my car can do the 400 then I sould just go with him and with the parts that we are going to put on we can get more power. He he has said to keep it as close to the 400 mark and everything will be ok

Si is saying that there is no way of knowing what the engine will take. Your mechanic can't predict the future or how fatigued the rods are. Your talking "metal fatigue" not worn surfaces.

The best attitude to have is "fix it when it breaks" if the engine lets go, get a forged build on the go :awesome:

If your chasing 400 which is never a good idea to number chase, I'm just saying always be prepared for a worse case scenario as I have seen engines fail running less.

If you want power it comes with a price either way, just be content with the ample power you have. If I had my time again I would have stayed standard.

I had a fp green on stock bottom end..

A lot of people will say to forge it, and it is the better option but there are a good few people out there who are happy with the rod job that's been done on their cars.

Nothing wrong with slapping on a evo 9 turbo. Just as said you never know if the rods will hold or not.....gamble worth paying is up to you ;)
