Evo 8, knocking noise....Any help please

Yea Hun, it's a possibilty that it could do the gears some damage over time, but having said that I've been driving mine on the road and track and launched it up pod several times and mine is still going well, and it started knocking well over a year ago, but I don't know how long yours has been knocking for, and if that's defo the reason behind the knocking. xxx

Don't worry you're not doing any damage to your car providing that is the problem, but defo take it to a specialist local to you and get it seen to, but it's not going to cause any damage, the bolts will go again, it's probably the most annoying thing about evo's lol xxx

I'l get her to the garage in the morning and hopefully get her sorted xxx

It was indeed plus the tracking was out too lol but she's all sorted now, just need my wings doing and bumper and some diff bolts then she's done at bloody last, then I can get her wheels painted purple and her bay spruced up

I guess then it's the cv joint someone probably greased it up to keep it quite while you were test driving it.

Bummer, hopefully it will be an easy fix and you can get out enjoying the car.

I have a knocking noise when turning also, seems to be worse when turning out of junctions but when you increase speed there is no noise at all.
