Lpg done ! 40+ MPG now and feels just the same on lpg as vpower sweet

I think it would be great if you keep updating this thread from time to time, it would be interesting to know how the car is fairing say every 4500 miles or so.

Keep us in the loop buddy.

will do chaps only done 250 miles so far but from old cars i have had on lpg the oil stays "clean" and doesnt break down like with normal fuels , will keep u all posted tho

First tank full works out about 41mpg or so ;) this will get better as the system beds in

Was the head removed before all work was undertaken???

I see you have the better conversion done, which is a good sign especially for turbo charged cars. Do you know what size injectors have been fitted???

This is quite a cool idea,could u still tune the engine n run on lpg? The only thing I'm not keen on is loosin the boot space,I like my bass : )

Yeah tune car no probs , the lpg runns on its own ecu and i have the ecu cd and can change the map any time . they mapped mine on the road and its the same as on petrol no diff what so ever .

Mine has been decat and mapped by cpp (before lpg) :)

Not a bad idea gassin it!

I heard though that when you convert the engine to gas, the engines life is halved. You had any upsets yet pal?

heard the same too brennun '

but thinking that, as long as the gas convertion is calibrated on time there shouldnt be any probs.

No probs as yet guys she runs sweet same on lpg as v power tbh :D only prob i do have is finding lpg to fill up :rolleyes:

Here's an idea for you!

Why don't you ask the firm that converted the car to pay for a dyno, if the read out is similar on both VPower and Gas then their might well be a lot more Evo's coming their way.
