Hi buddy and welcome to the Forum!!!

You will be best off with the VI TME.

It is the most value for money Evo throughout the range.

Try to find a really nice tidy one with minimal or no modifications and take it from there.

Happy hunting buddy.

El

Hi and Welcome, you are def in the right place to find a decent evo - I agree with El, if you can find a nice E6 TME - You'll be laughing and like the others say, if you look after the car, it will certainly look after you. Good luck!! ;)

No hitting involved buddy.

As I said before, find one within your budget that has no mods and take it from there.

Be sure to have some of your budget set aside to do a little modding of your own though!!!

Hi and welcome to the club,

you've definitely found the right club for any advice you need.

Again El is right in saying the TME is the one to go for. Even down the line it will hold it's value.

Your questions regarding the ayc and costs have already been covered. It's like anything, if you don't look after it, it will break (like our bodies).

Take your time when buying one and don't go for the first one you see. Make sure you take your time on the test drive (whether you're driving or not as some of the dodgy traders will give a quick 3000m test drive and expect you to be able to make a decision on that)!!

You need to be buying a car that looks like and has proof it has been well maintained.

If you need any more information, the guys and girls here are more than happy to help :)

Cheers guys again for good advice...

There is a small garage just down the road from me who imports jap cars....Browns of Mundford , does anyone have any experience from buying or dealing with these?

Are all Evo6 TME's Uk cars or are some imports too?

I know what your saying......the TME's are bloody pricey.

The "normal" evo 6's seem decent price. I defo want to buy a standard one , then tweek it myself, more fun that way!

Or you could go for a 4 that's already had a 5/6/7/8 engine dropped in it and modify to 400+ bhp and have enough money left over for lots of petrol :D
