Hi buddy and welcome to the Forum!!!

You will be best off with the VI TME.

It is the most value for money Evo throughout the range.

Try to find a really nice tidy one with minimal or no modifications and take it from there.

Happy hunting buddy.

It does indeed;)

You will notice whilst searching for one that they do hold their value quite well as opposed to most of the other models.

Oh stories that they cost a fortune to repair when they go wrong. Or is it like most things theses rumours get blown out of all proportion?

Just want to know what im letting myself in for, dont mind spending the cash on maintenance. Hope to do servicing etc myself...im a mechanic for a arable company so not worried about getting me hands dirty :)

i wouldnt worry so much about the AYC.... it is blown out of proportion, aslong as there is not a problem when you already get it.

i recommended to another newbie a few days ago to read this and put it into practise... i did too when i got mine and i managed to get a decent motor

good luck finding the right car... i would definately never go back on getting an evo!!!

Keep us posted on what you are planning to go and see, if there are links available then paste them on this thread so we can all have a look see and help you make the right decision.

The AYC issue is blown out of proportion for sure. Like any car out there, if you look after it, it will not let you down.

The thing that you will need to remember is that the regular service intervals must be maintained using quality fluids.

Hi mate n welcome. The stories are a load of poo, there not that bad realy, my 3 lights are all on but I went to see el n his guys and they narrowed the prob down to the preasure sensor, so I'm guna get one of them wen I can,if u have to replace the whole pump ur lookin around the 400 quid mark for a second hand one,wot ever u do DON'T go to the dealers for any advice or parts, their w***ers. Agree with el,an e6 tme would be best value for money.hope u find a good en mate.happy postin.
