hi all, I'm looking at buying my first evo, I'm after an evo 9 MR FQ 340 / 360, might go for a 320 if need be, but for some reason, good reason, the insurance is the same for them all :wtf:
id spend unto about £15k for one, preferably standard...ish, with minimal miles, service history is a must, and id like to buy one thats been owned by an enthusiast.
so id like to know, if or what are the problems with the evo 9 MR's? i know the evo 7's have weak rod pins, was that fixed on the later models?
I've has bikes since i was 16, the last one was a ducati 749s, which i loved inside and out, tool it to the 'ring and had sooooo much fun, i had my first car at 18, a BMW 316i Coupe, which i still have, and its getting a bit tired now, so I'm going to show it some love, then move it on to make room for a fire breathing monster
i think its safe to say I'm a complete and utter raging petrol head, if its fast expensive, dangerous and burns fuel I'm in!
i was building a track car last year, in the form of a nissan 200SX S13, i stripped it completely and had it on tyres in my unit, removed all the rust, stitch welded the whole chassis, started collecting all the parts, and as i was about to start putting it back together... i lost my job so it all had to go but all is well in paradise now!
