Don't mess with evoowners with dusters check out the guy behind me holding his head, he tried parking his vauxhall to close to our cars pmsl;)

See above:whistling:

LOL!!!

I was wondering why that chap was holding his head! :whistling: :whistling: :whistling:

As for my car it turns out my ecu has a feature that trims the egnition back should the coolant reach a certain tempature which makes perfect sence so I'll be fitting a bigger rad soon :):) along with some extra coolant and a trip to see my mapper to fiddle with the ECT trim levels :)

What is the peak temperature threshold Lee???

From what I can remember, the ViPEC ECU conforms to stock Air and Coolant Temperature parameters and they are not really played around with when being mapped.

The Coolant Temperature parameters are typically between 85-90 degrees.

I can't remember exactly, but the Limp Mode function is only triggered when the coolant temperature threshold is exceeded and that is around the 100 degrees mark.

Who mapped it???

It might be an idea to change the Thermostat to a Kakimoto item as they are triggered at around 69-74 degrees so it should reduce the Coolant Temperature a hell of a lot quicker.

I suppose your first point of call will be the Mapper to see what exactly has been going on so keep me posted please buddy.

Coolant tempature rev limit.

3000rpm rev limit when 100 degrees c is reached so need to drop the temps down with prob a thermostat like you said and a koyo rad should sort things out :)
