Hey all
I love my evo4 but it tries to kill me! The problem im having is a little hard to describe but here goes......
It sometimes feels like the rear end wants to go a different direction to the front! If I do say 60/70 mph the rear end starts wondering all over the place. It feels as if bothe rear wheels are loose (have checked) or as if they are somehow steering themselves! Now, im no novice when it comes to cars I used to run my own business restoring classic cars from the ground up so I know my way around a toolbox but this has me puzzled. Ive checked all bushes/ball joints etc and the only problem I found was two very worn track rod ends which have now been replaced.
The trouble is it only does it as and when it feels like it!
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
If it was down to geometry I would expect it to happen a lot but like I say it only happens one in a while, as if the car has bad moods sometimes and thinks f##k you im gonna throw you off the road lol.
It did have a leaking ayc pipe which has now been sorted, bled and topped up with no fault code coming up anymore but could the ayc system be the cause? Maybe ayc ecu having a fit?
Sorry for the long winded post, if anyone can shed a light on this I would be very grateful.
