Where bouts are you based? Try an alarm or audio specialist they might be able to help or even tell u over the phone, without paying so bloody much money, I wouldn't pay 150 out for a guy to press a few buttons sod that !

Hmm. Not convinced its the alarm, i have the top of the range clifford alarm and there ARE no relays, main reason? Because it'd be too easy to start the car if they're accessible, and all cliffords are modulated. The clifford would also not allow you to turn the engine over if the immobiliser is in. What you're hearing is more likely the fuel pump relays or starter relays under the dash near the steering column.

There is a simple test to see if you're getting the right ingredients to get the engine started

Right, you'll need an assistant (i use the missus),take the lead out of cylinder 3, then the plug out, put the plug back in the HT lead and earth it (hold it on) the alloy of the cylinder head, or the exhaust manifold and get your mate to turn the engine over and see if the plug sparks.... don't hold the plug, hold the lead in a cloth so you don't get a shock. If you get a spark, thats one part we know works.

Next check for fuel. Yes, the walbro's can be loud, but in my first 6 mine was silent and some can be! Take the right hand pipe off the fuel rail (the bit on the inlet manifold that sits on top of the injectors is the fuel rail itself),you'll lose a bit of fuel, but don't worry, anything you don't catch in an old rag will evaporate. Put the hose in a jar or something similar and get your mate to turn the engine over, if fuel is coming out, thats the second part sorted.

If you could do those 2 tests first and see what the results are, we can go from there

The other thing, without my trawling through your past posts, when did it start? was it after a modification? Or did it slowly begin to get worse and now it doesn't start at all?

Okey dokey, Steve is dead right, not the alarm for sure!! just spoke to a bloke who talked me through some procedures regarding testing the immobilisers on the car and they are fine...so I probably didn't need a fuel pump after all!!! oh well, got a Walbro fitted now!...anyhow, I will do those test a little later as the Mrs is nagging me to go shopping...

I can't hear the pump priming either?....
